Safeguarding Information
Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do at Lowerhouses CE Primary School. We are committed to creating a secure, nurturing environment where every child feels safe, respected and supported.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Mr Daniel Lord, and our Deputy DSL is Mrs Rachel Shaw. They work closely with staff, governors and external agencies to ensure that safeguarding procedures are robust and effective. If you have a safeguarding concern, please contact the DSL via the school office.

Our Safeguarding Approach
We follow the statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and ensure that all staff receive regular training so they can recognise and respond to concerns promptly and appropriately.
As proud participants in Operation Encompass, we receive timely information from the police about domestic abuse incidents. This enables us to offer sensitive, informed support to affected children from the very start of the school day. All safeguarding information is handled with the utmost confidentiality and care.
Our Safeguarding Governor, Andy Woodward, works alongside school leaders to monitor safeguarding practice and ensure accountability.
Safeguarding Policies
Our safeguarding policies are reviewed regularly and available for families to access using the links below:
If you would like paper copies of any policies, please contact the school office.
