π What Weβre Learning
π English
We will be reading the traditional story Rapunzel πΏπ°.
Children will retell the story and then create their own versions by changing characters and settings βοΈβ¨.
This half term, we will also be focusing on:
- Using a range of sentence openers
- Applying different punctuation marks ββ
- Using coordinating & subordinating conjunctions
- Continuing to practise spelling and neat letter formation βοΈ
π€ Please continue practising weekly spellings at home β this makes a huge difference! π
- π Reading
- Daily reading is essential in Year 2 ππ.
- Please read with your child each evening and sign their Reading Log.
- When children reach the bottom of a page, they earn a reading certificate π.
- π Little Wandle books must be returned every Monday morning.
π’ Mathematics
In Maths we will be learning about:
