🩺 Healthcare & Wellbeing Support at Lowerhouses
At Lowerhouses, we’re committed to supporting the whole child—physically, emotionally, and socially. That’s why we work closely with a range of healthcare and specialist professionals who help us meet the diverse needs of our pupils.
👩⚕️ Locala School Nurses & Healthcare Assistants
We partner with Locala Health and Wellbeing, whose school nurses and healthcare assistants visit regularly to provide:
- Health assessments and routine checks
- Support with emotional wellbeing and anxiety
- Advice on sleep, hygiene, and healthy habits
- Help managing long-term health conditions in school
- Guidance for parents on health-related concerns
🧠 Working with Specialist Teams
We also collaborate with other professionals to ensure children receive the right support at the right time, including:
- Educational Psychologists – supporting learning, behaviour, and emotional development
- Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) Teams – helping children with communication needs
- Occupational Therapists – supporting physical development and sensory needs
- CAMHS and wellbeing services – offering mental health support where needed
These partnerships allow us to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
