As part of its provision for Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities (SEND), Lowerhouses CE (VC) JI&EY School has an attached specialist resourced provision for hearing impaired pupils.
The provision spans throughout school, catering for children aged from 4 to 11, offering 10 fixed places and 4 transitional spaces. Mrs Rachel Shaw is the Head Teacher, Mrs Julie Markowycz is Teacher in Charge of the provision, and Mrs Clare Burdett is the Sensory Lead.
Children who have an assessed or diagnosed hearing loss specified in an EHCP (Educational Health Care Plan) as their priority need, may meet the criteria to attend this provision.
