Welcome to the Reception Reds
We love all of the activities we do in our day to day routine. We love our carpet times too. We get to tell Miss McAleavey all of our ideas and she helps us to make our ideas into fun activities to do in the classroom.
We love to access all of the different areas in the Reception classroom. We have lots to choose from on a daily basis including the water area, painting, the DT area and the malleable area. See some of our work in the photos below.

Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised
The resources on this page will help you support your child with saying their sounds and writing their letters. There are also some useful videos so you can see how they are taught at school and feel confident about supporting their reading at home.
These three videos show you how to pronounce the sounds. Notice how the children don’t add an ‘uh’ sound at the end, so they say: ‘t’ not ‘tuh’. Use the downloadable information to help your child remember how to write their letters and say their sounds.
